Trip to Tennessee

The girls and I went to Tennessee at the beginning of October to visit and celebrate the September birthdays. The cousins had a great time riding scooters and playing in the sprinkler. Of course none of them had bathing suits so Mimi rigged them up in Pappy's old t-shirts

SCHOOL TIME

It's hard to believe it's time for school again. The summer has flown by. Harder yet to believe the baby of the family is starting kindergarten. Ashley started a day before Megan and thought her teacher was great and thinks she's really going to like fourth grade. I found Ashley's kindergarten picture- wow- how she has grown!!

I used to be little, but not any more.

Tomorrow I'll get up and walk out the door.

I'm going to school--it's the first time for me.

It's great to be big, but I'm scared as can be.

My tummy's in knots, Do you want to know why?

I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe I'll cry.

When Dad leaves the school and I'm there all alone,

I'm thinking that maybe I'll want to go home.

But wait- Mommy said I'll play lots of games.

The first day of school, oh there's so much to do!

There's painting and books and a big playground too.

I used to be little but not anymore.

Tomorrow I'll get up and walk out the door

I'm going to school, it's my first day, you see.

It's great to be big! I'm so glad that I'm me!

Megan was excited to go to school this morning. She looked a little hesitant when we were walking over to her classroom but did just fine when we left.

MIMI, PAPPY AND THE GRANDKIDS

Mimi, Pappy, John, Leah, Eli and Jenny were in town this past weekend after my Uncle Phil's funeral. I had to get a picture of Mimi, Pappy and all the grandkids! We all love it when family comes to visit and the cousins all had a great time together!

BOWLING

Calvin got a Wii a few weeks ago and while everyone was in town this past weekend we had a Bowling tournament. Once Mimi figured out how to throw the ball forward instead of backward she did really well!!!

PRE-K GRADUATION

Megan's Pre-K class had their graduation last week. The kids were all so cute. Megan is so excited to be going to kindergarten this year!

While Ashley was on vacation at Mimi and Pappy's Megan and I went to swim at my friend Leslie's. She had a blast swimming around in her floaty!
